Sabrina Carpenter is celebrating one year of Man’s Best Friend with a heartfelt message to fans. The 27-year-old singer marked the album’s first anniversary on August 29 by looking back on the memories created during its making and the year that followed.
“One year on pretty girl avenue….!” Sabrina wrote in a new Instagram post. “mans best friend holds such a special place in my heart and these songs have brought endless magic to my world.”
Sabrina Carpenter continued by reflecting on the experience of creating the album and everything that has happened since its release. “Such vivid memories making this album and now continuing to make more memories with you all every day thank you for continuing to listen :’) i am eternally grateful!” she added.
Released on August 29, 2025, through Island Records, Man’s Best Friend became the follow-up to Sabrina Carpenter’s blockbuster Short n’ Sweet era and her seventh studio album. The project was produced by Carpenter with Jack Antonoff and John Ryan, continuing the creative partnership that helped shape her previous record.
The album arrived with “Manchild” as its lead single, a playful pop track that quickly became another major commercial success for Carpenter. The song reached No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart, extending her run of chart-topping singles following the success of “Espresso” and “Please Please Please.”
“Tears” was released alongside Man’s Best Friend on August 29, giving fans another immediate highlight as the album entered its first day of release. The project itself went on to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
The first anniversary also comes with a fan-focused celebration. On August 28, Carpenter launched the Man’s Best Friend Awards, inviting listeners to vote across nine categories dedicated to different parts of the era.
Categories include Song of the Year, Most Underrated Track, Bridge of the Year, Best Lyric, Best Picture (Music Video), Best Song to Dance To, Best Live Performance, Funniest Sabrina Moment and Best Chorus. The campaign gives Sabrina Carpenter’s fans the opportunity to determine which moments from the Man’s Best Friend era stand out most.
