Lalisa Manobal, known globally as LISA, has become a standout figure in the music and entertainment world. Born on March 27, 1997, in Buriram Province, Thailand, she moved to Bangkok at a young age. Her passion for dance and performance led her to join the dance crew We Zaa Cool during her childhood, where she showcased her exceptional talent.
In 2010, LISA auditioned for YG Entertainment and was the only person accepted during their Thailand auditions. After over five years of rigorous training, she debuted in 2016 as the main dancer, lead rapper, and sub-vocalist of the K-pop girl group BLACKPINK.
BLACKPINK quickly rose to international fame. Beyond group activities, LISA ventured into solo projects, releasing her debut single album “Lalisa” in 2021, which broke records for the most-viewed YouTube music video by a solo artist in 24 hours.
In 2024, LISA expanded her artistic pursuits by making her acting debut as Mook in the third season of HBO’s acclaimed series “The White Lotus,” filmed in her home country of Thailand. In February 2025, she released her first full-length solo album, “Alter Ego,” featuring collaborations with artists like Doja Cat, Raye, Rosalía, Future, Megan Thee Stallion, and Tyla.
