LISA has added another historic milestone to her already record-breaking solo career. BLACKPINK’s global star has officially seen LALISA surpass 2 billion streams on Spotify, making her the first female K-pop soloist in history to achieve multiple projects at that level on the platform.
The K-pop idol has two projects that have surpassed the 2 billion mark. LALISA, her 2021 debut single album, now joins her 2025 solo album Alter Ego, which crossed the same 2-billion-stream threshold last year.
Released in September 2021 via YG Entertainment and Interscope Records, LALISA arrived as a bold introduction to LISA as an independent force. The double-single project featured “LALISA” and “Money.” While the title track debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Global 200 and entered the Billboard Hot 100, it was “Money” that became a cultural phenomenon. The track exploded organically across platforms, fueled by viral moments and dance trends, and now stands as LISA’s most-streamed song to date with nearly 1.4 billion Spotify streams. “LALISA” follows closely behind with more than 621 million streams as of January 13.
Beyond streaming, the project’s impact was immediate upon release. LALISA debuted at No. 1 on South Korea’s Gaon Album Chart and set a then-record for first-week sales by a female soloist, moving over 736,000 copies. The album later earned triple-platinum certification from the Korea Music Content Association. In 2023, it also secured a Guinness World Record as the first album by a solo K-pop artist to reach 1 billion Spotify streams.
