Future may already be preparing a new album just weeks after reaching the top of the Billboard 200. The Atlanta rapper shared a new studio photo on Instagram, hinting that another album could arrive soon following the chart-topping success of The Real Me.
“Thanks for the #1 album, I’m always super grateful for the consistent love, this next one for you,” Future wrote alongside the studio post, immediately sparking speculation among fans that new music could be on the way.
The tease comes shortly after The Real Me delivered one of the biggest commercial achievements of Future’s career. Released on July 10 through Freebandz and Epic Records, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 131,000 equivalent album units earned, marking Future’s 12th career chart-topper.
With the achievement, Future moved ahead of Eminem’s 11 No. 1 albums to become the rapper with the third-most Billboard 200 No. 1 albums in history. Only Drake and Taylor Swift, both with 15 No. 1 albums, JAY-Z with 14, and The Beatles with 19 across all genres have collected more chart-topping albums.
The Real Me represents Future’s first solo studio album since 2022’s I Never Liked You, which also opened at No. 1 with 222,000 equivalent album units. Between those solo releases, he remained one of hip-hop’s most dominant figures through his collaborations with Metro Boomin on We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You, both of which reached the top of the Billboard 200 in 2024.
The latest album also achieved a strong streaming debut. The Real Me collected 23.8 million Spotify streams on its first day, becoming the sixth-biggest first-day debut for a rap album released in 2026 and Future’s fifth-largest opening-day performance on the platform.
