Kanye West has added another unprecedented milestone to his career. The rapper, now known as Ye, officially delivered the highest-grossing concerts by any rapper in touring history after generating $16.3 million per night across his two SoFi Stadium performances in Inglewood, California, on April 1 and April 3, 2026.
The record-setting concerts also made history in attendance. Ye became the first rapper ever to sell more than 70,000 tickets to a single concert in the United States, underscoring the extraordinary demand surrounding his long-awaited return to the American stage after nearly five years without a headlining U.S. performance.
The two-night event, titled YE – Live in Los Angeles, transformed SoFi Stadium into one of the year’s most ambitious live productions. At the center of the stage sat a massive rotating Earth installation, surrounded by immersive projections that created a cinematic, dystopian visual experience throughout the show.
While opening night focused primarily on Ye’s extensive catalog, the April 3 performance expanded the spectacle with a series of surprise guests. The concert, livestreamed globally on YouTube, featured appearances from collaborators and family members, including North West and Travis Scott, further elevating one of the biggest hip-hop productions ever staged in the United States.
The commercial achievement adds another historic chapter to an already remarkable year for Ye. Earlier this month, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) confirmed that he became the artist with the most Gold and Platinum-certified songs in history, reaching 137 certified titles. The update also moved his career total to 271 million certified units, making him the second most-certified artist overall behind Drake.
His latest album, BULLY, has also contributed to the momentum. Released earlier this year, the project debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 152,000 equivalent album units while placing 16 of its 18 tracks on the Billboard Hot 100.
The touring success arrives just weeks before Ye returns to the stage again. He is scheduled to perform in New Orleans on August 28 before headlining two stadium concerts at Chicago’s Soldier Field on September 3 and September 4.
