Kodak Black has reached a major career milestone after receiving a massive wave of new RIAA certifications, pushing his total certified units in the United States to 94 million. The update places the Florida rapper inside the top 15 highest-certified rappers of all time.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced the new certifications on July 22, with dozens of Kodak Black’s biggest songs receiving new gold and platinum awards. His breakout hits, fan favorites, and recent releases all contributed to the milestone.
Leading the latest update are four songs that reached 9x Platinum status: “ZEZE” featuring Travis Scott and Offset, “No Flockin,” “Tunnel Vision,” and “Roll in Peace” featuring XXXTentacion. Each track has now surpassed nine million certified units in the United States.
“Super Gremlin” and “Transportin’” were also elevated to 6x Platinum, while “Calling My Spirit” reached 5x Platinum. Additional multi-platinum certifications include “Codeine Dreaming” featuring Lil Wayne at 3x Platinum, along with “Project Baby 2,” “Patty Cake,” “Painting Pictures,” “SKRT,” “Dying To Live,” “Pimpin Ain’t Eazy,” and “Skrilla” all earning new multi-platinum recognition.
The latest RIAA update also expanded Kodak Black’s collection of platinum singles, with tracks including “Versatile,” “Don’t Wanna Breathe,” “There He Go,” “Conscience,” “Walk,” “Feelin’ Peachy,” “Testimony,” “Moshpit,” “Love & War,” and “Back For Everything” reaching Platinum status. Several additional songs, including “Senseless,” “Unexplainable,” “Built My Legacy,” “6th Sense,” “Halloween,” and “Corrlinks and Jpay,” received Gold certifications.
Kodak Black’s rise began in Pompano Beach, Florida, where he built a loyal following through early releases before signing with Atlantic Records in 2015. His 2014 breakout single “No Flockin” became a sleeper hit years after its release, eventually earning multi-platinum status and introducing his melodic street-rap style to a global audience.
The rapper’s commercial breakthrough continued with “Tunnel Vision,” which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2017. The song appeared on his debut studio album Painting Pictures, which debuted and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. That same year, his mixtape Project Baby 2 reached No. 2 on the chart and produced the hit “Roll in Peace” with XXXTentacion.
Kodak Black reached another career peak with his second studio album Dying to Live in 2018, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The project featured “ZEZE,” his highest-charting single to date, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. His 2021 comeback single “Super Gremlin” later became another major success, reaching No. 3 on the Hot 100 and earning a place among his most successful records.
