“HOT GIRL PRODUCTIONS x INTERSCOPE RECORDS. NEW LEVEL UNLOCKED,” she wrote. “Hotties I signed a distribution partnership with @Interscope!!!! Owning my masters & publishing and maintaining my independence as an artist is always my priority! Everything I’ve built has been about trusting my vision, owning my power, and never putting a ceiling on how far I can go.”

She continued, “And now? We going HIGHER. I can’t wait for this next chapter with my new Interscope family!! I’m forever grateful!!! ACT III IS ON THEE WAY HOTTIES!!!”

Unlike a traditional recording contract, the distribution agreement allows Megan to continue releasing music independently through Hot Girl Productions while benefiting from Interscope’s global distribution and promotional infrastructure. The announcement reinforces the strategy she adopted after parting ways with 300 Entertainment and 1501 Certified Entertainment, prioritizing creative control and ownership of her catalog.

The timing is no coincidence. Just days earlier, Megan reignited anticipation for Act III by sharing striking images featuring the phrases “I’M BACK” and “ACT III” written across her body, marking her first major update on the project since February. Those teasers arrived after months of limited social media activity, following her promise to stay offline until she had meaningful music news to share.

Act III is expected to conclude the trilogy that began with Megan in June 2024. That self-titled album introduced a more personal creative direction and marked her first full-length project following her departure from her previous labels. The story continued with Megan: Act II in October 2024, an expanded edition that added new material while pushing the concept forward.

Throughout 2026, Megan has steadily hinted that the final installment was nearing completion. On her birthday, February 15, she encouraged fans to “Drop some blue hearts if you ready for ACT III hotties,” while revealing she had been “hiding from everybody” as she focused on finishing the project. Her most recent chart release, “Lover Girl,” debuted inside the Billboard Hot 100’s top 40 in late 2025.
