NBA YoungBoy has reignited tensions with Future after posting a series of heated Instagram Story clips on July 10, just as Future released his new album The Real Me. The posts arrived only hours after YoungBoy publicly apologized to the Atlanta rap star during an Instagram Live appearance with Offset, leaving fans questioning whether the feud has flared up once again.
The latest controversy began when YoungBoy uploaded a video featuring aggressive bars seemingly directed at another rapper releasing music the same night. Although he never mentioned Future by name, the timing immediately fueled speculation across social media.
In the clip, YoungBoy rapped, “B**** you flopped with your b**** ass, f*** you your old ass b**** YOU A H**,” before continuing with insults about the unnamed artist “flopping,” warning fans not to “gas it up,” and delivering several personal jabs. Because the post coincided with the arrival of Future’s The Real Me, fans quickly concluded the lyrics were aimed at the Atlanta veteran.
The remarks came as a surprise considering YoungBoy had struck a much different tone earlier in the day. During an Instagram Live session hosted by Offset, the rapper admitted he had been “crashing out,” thanked Offset for encouraging him to stay focused, and publicly apologized to Future.
Future, meanwhile, is celebrating one of the biggest releases of the summer. The Real Me arrived on July 10 through Freebandz and Epic Records as his first solo studio album since I Never Liked You in 2022. The 22-track project stands out for another reason: it contains no guest features, allowing Future to carry the entire record himself.
The album follows an impressive run that included the Billboard 200-topping collaborations We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You with Metro Boomin in 2024.
