BABYMONSTER are moving quickly into their next era. The YG Entertainment act released their third mini album Choom on May 4, 2026, marking their first project of the year and setting the stage for a major global push that extends from streaming platforms to a newly announced world tour.
The four-track set arrives less than seven months after WE GO UP, the October 10, 2025 release that topped South Korean charts and reached No. 13 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart. That momentum carries into Choom, which positions the group for another step forward internationally while maintaining a concise, high-impact format.
Choom includes four tracks: “Moon” (2:46), the title track “Choom (춤)” (2:58), “I Like It” (3:26), and “Locked In” (3:01). The tracks ‘I Like It’ and ‘Moon’ from will have music videos released in July and August. Physical editions further amplify the release strategy, with 15 versions available, including Crimson, Metallic, Prism, six individual Jewel cases, and six Plush Keyring QR editions designed for collectors and digital integration.
One notable absence shapes this comeback. Member Rami did not participate in the album’s recording or production due to her ongoing health-related hiatus, which began in May 2025. YG Entertainment confirmed earlier this year that group activities would continue with six members — Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rora, and Chiquita — while offering limited updates on Rami’s condition. During an October 2025 fansign, Pharita shared that Rami was “still unwell, but she’s getting better.”
The release timeline has been tightly structured. YG first announced the project on March 4, 2026, with a general early May window, before confirming May 4 as the official date on March 30.
Beyond the music itself, Choom functions as a launchpad for BABYMONSTER’s next touring phase. The 2026–2027 BABYMONSTER World Tour [Choom] will begin with a three-night run at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul from June 26 to June 28, before expanding into Japan throughout July and August. The tour marks their second global trek.
Choom is now available on all streaming platforms.
