BIGBANG officially launched its XX: COSMOS World Tour on Friday (Aug. 21), delivering a career-spanning 32-song set at Goyang Stadium in South Korea. The opening night celebrated the group’s 20th anniversary while marking its first full-scale concert tour as a three-member lineup featuring G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung.
Blending iconic hits with solo showcases and brand-new music, the performance highlighted every era of BIGBANG’s career. Fans were treated to classics including “Fantastic Baby,” “Haru Haru,” “Lies,” “Bang Bang Bang,” and “Still Life,” alongside recent solo material and the live debut of the group’s new anniversary single “BiiiG.”
The XX: COSMOS World Tour is BIGBANG’s first global trek since the Last Dance Tour concluded in 2017. After years away from touring—including military service, an extended hiatus and a gradual return to the stage—the group reunited earlier this year with a widely praised Coachella performance before announcing the 31-date stadium tour.
Demand for the reunion has been extraordinary. Tickets for the opening three concerts at Goyang Stadium sold out in just 22 minutes. International dates have generated similar excitement, with the North American opener at Oakland Coliseum also selling out shortly after tickets became available.
Opening night also showcased each member’s individual artistry. Daesung performed “Universe,” “Wings,” “Hando-Chogua,” and fan favorite “Look at Me, Gwisun.” Taeyang followed with songs from his new album Quintessence, including “Bad” and “Live Fast Die Slow,” while also revisiting “Ringa Linga.” G-Dragon closed the solo portion with “Power,” “Crayon,” “Crooked.”
One of the night’s biggest moments arrived when BIGBANG performed “BiiiG,” released on August 19 to commemorate the group’s 20th anniversary. The high-energy hip-hop anthem quickly topped major Korean streaming platforms, reached No. 1 on iTunes in more than 20 countries and became a worldwide trending music video.
With performances scheduled across Asia, North America, Europe and Australia through February 28, 2027, the opening night made one thing clear: BIGBANG is writing a new chapter in front of sold-out stadiums around the world.
