BIGBANG used their long-awaited Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival debut to make a major statement, announcing a 20th anniversary world tour set to begin in August 2026. The reveal came during their Weekend 2 set on April 19, turning an already high-profile return into a defining moment for their next chapter.

The announcement arrived near the end of an hour-long performance on the Outdoor Theatre stage, where GDragon addressed the crowd with a clear message: the group’s anniversary era is just getting started. That moment capped off two weekends—April 12 and April 19—where the trio delivered tightly packed sets featuring “Bang Bang Bang,” “Fantastic Baby,” and “Lies.” For many in attendance, the shows marked the group’s first major U.S. appearance since their originally scheduled 2020 Coachella booking was scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Momentum around the tour has been building for weeks. YG Entertainment first confirmed plans for a global run in early March as part of its “2026 YG PLAN,” positioning the anniversary as a large-scale, multi-market campaign.

The timing carries weight. BIGBANG debuted on August 19, 2006, making 2026 a precise 20-year milestone, while the upcoming trek will be their first full-scale tour since the “Last Dance” run wrapped in 2017. Current performances feature G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung as a trio.

Early details remain broad but ambitious. August has been confirmed as the starting window, with the tour expected to span multiple continents rather than focus solely on Asia. Cities, venues, and ticketing timelines have yet to be announced.
