Danielle’s legal battle with ADOR intensified again this week after her attorneys openly challenged the label’s handling of evidence submissions during a new court hearing. The dispute, tied to the 43 billion won damages lawsuit filed in 2025, now appears to be entering a more confrontational phase as both sides clash over delays, representation changes, and the pace of the proceedings.
On May 14, during the hearing, Danielle’s legal team questioned why ADOR was requesting additional time to gather evidence despite already accusing the singer of breaching her exclusive contract when the lawsuit first began. “ADOR already claimed Danielle violated her exclusive contract when this lawsuit began,” her attorneys argued in court. “Under ADOR’s own logic, they should already have collected the necessary evidence before terminating her contract. The idea that they now need additional time to search for more evidence is difficult to understand.”
The remarks directly targeted the foundation of ADOR’s case, suggesting inconsistencies between the company’s original claims and its current legal strategy. Danielle’s representatives also reportedly asked the judge to separate her case from former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin’s legal matters, arguing that Danielle’s dispute “would end quickly” if handled independently.
Attention inside the courtroom also shifted toward ADOR’s legal representation. Danielle’s side reportedly expressed confusion after the law firm that had represented ADOR in several previous cases abruptly resigned after failing to meet an evidence submission deadline. That development prompted the court to extend the deadline until June 2, giving ADOR additional time to organize and submit materials connected to the case.
The lawsuit has remained one of the most closely watched disputes in the K-pop industry since 2025, when ADOR terminated Danielle’s contract and filed a damages claim against the singer, a family member, and Min Hee-jin.
Outside the courtroom, Danielle has continued quietly signaling the start of a solo chapter. On April 11, 2026 — her 21st birthday — the former NewJeans member launched fresh speculation after teasing “Demo #3” through her Instagram account @dazzibelle. Fans immediately connected the clip to rumors of an independent music rollout, especially after unusual Spotify activity involving her profile surfaced hours earlier.
Momentum around her solo future has only grown in recent months. The @dazzibelle account surpassed one million followers shortly after launching earlier this year, while Danielle’s January livestream and handwritten messages repeatedly hinted that her absence from group activities was temporary creatively, even as legal uncertainty continued behind the scenes.
The next major milestone now arrives on June 2, when ADOR must submit its updated evidence package.
