JISOO is giving fans another promising update on her long-awaited debut studio album. During her appearance on the latest episode of Hot Ones, the BLACKPINK star revealed that her first full-length record is nearly ready and hinted that listeners can expect her most diverse musical project to date.

While discussing the album, JISOO confirmed that its release is approaching and explained the creative mindset behind the project.

This new album is my first full-length album, so I made the effort to show a variety of charms,” she said. “Whether it’s musical styles that I already liked, or putting in different styles I liked listening, it was to add a bit of color to the album.”

She also reassured fans that they will not have to wait much longer, teasing that the album will arrive “very soon.”

The update builds on comments JISOO shared with fans last month, when she admitted that completing her first studio album had proven more challenging than expected. Rather than repeatedly promising it was coming “soon,” she explained that she wanted every detail finalized before making an official announcement.

Those remarks followed an earlier interview with V Magazine in which JISOO revealed that the album would expand far beyond the sound of her 2025 mini-album Amortage. At the time, she said she was focused on presenting a broader musical identity and hoped listeners would discover a completely new side of her artistry.

Her latest comments suggest that vision has remained intact. JISOO appears to be embracing multiple genres and influences instead of staying within a single sonic lane.

Anticipation for the album has continued to grow throughout 2026. Following the success of Amortage, which featured tracks including “Earthquake,” “Your Love,” and “Hugs & Kisses,” JISOO further expanded her solo profile with the hit collaboration “Eyes Closed” alongside Zayn. She also made her Met Gala debut earlier this year, balancing music, fashion, and acting while preparing what will become the first full-length release of her solo career.
