The update arrives as anticipation continues to build around JISOO’s long-awaited debut studio album. While she has yet to reveal an official release date, her latest move suggests that a new announcement could be closer than fans expect.

The K-pop idol has spent much of 2026 teasing the next stage of her solo career. During a recent appearance on Hot Ones, JISOO confirmed that her first full-length album is nearly finished and described the project as a chance to show a broader side of her artistry.
“This new album is my first full-length album, so I made the effort to show a variety of charms,” she said. JISOO explained that she incorporated both musical styles she already enjoys and genres she likes listening to, with the goal of giving the album “a bit of color.”
She also offered the clearest indication yet that the wait may soon be over, telling fans the album will arrive “very soon.” The new website update adds another layer to that promise, particularly with its currently unfinished presentation.
JISOO previously acknowledged that completing the album had taken longer than expected. Rather than continuing to tell fans that new music was coming “soon,” she said she wanted to make sure every detail was finalized before sharing an official announcement.
That approach follows her earlier comments to V Magazine, where she teased a project that would move beyond the musical direction of her 2025 mini-album Amortage. The record featured “Earthquake,” “Your Love” and “Hugs & Kisses,” giving fans an early look at JISOO’s solo identity after BLACKPINK’s group activities.
Her upcoming album is expected to expand that identity further. JISOO has repeatedly emphasized variety when discussing the project, suggesting that the full-length release will move between different sounds rather than staying within one specific genre.
