For some fans, the initial announcement caused a brief moment of panic. Because the post appeared without a full explanation, several assumed Stray Kids might be announcing additional tour dates before the cinema viewing details became clear. The actual news was just as significant: RUN IT will be experienced through a global live cinema event.

The announcement comes during one of the biggest periods of Stray Kids’ career. Their RUN IT World Tour launched in Seoul in July 2026, combining established fan favorites with recent material and the live debut of new music. The opening set moved from “Hall of Fame” into early hits including “Hellevator” and “District 9,” before reaching major crowd favorites such as “God’s Menu,” “Back Door,” “Thunderous,” “MANIAC” and “S-Class.”

The tour also reflects the group’s rapidly expanding catalog. Songs from 2025’s KARMA, including “CREED,” “DIVINE,” “BLEEP,” “CEREMONY,” “Phoenix” and “In My Head,” joined newer tracks such as “Do It” and “Slash,” creating a set that traces Stray Kids’ evolution while keeping their latest era at the center.

Commercially, that momentum has reached another level. THIS & THAT debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 369,000 equivalent album units, including 357,000 traditional album sales. The result gave Stray Kids their biggest Billboard 200 debut and made them the first act in chart history to open their first nine charting albums at No. 1.

The group also generated more than 12.8 million Spotify streams on the first day of THIS & THAT, followed by approximately 46 million during its opening week. Eight Stray Kids albums have now surpassed 40 million first-week Spotify streams, reinforcing the scale of their international audience.

RUN IT arrives as the tour continues across Asia, with dates scheduled in South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore through March 2027. Major venues include Seoul’s KSPO Dome, Tokyo’s Japan National Stadium, Kyocera Dome Osaka, Taipei Dome and Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium, while upcoming Straycity festival appearances will take the tour to Latin America.
