JISOO has reclaimed the InMusic Song of the Month title, nearly a year after her previous victory. The BLACKPINK star’s new solo single “CLICK” was voted the best song of September 2026 by the InMusic community, beating a competitive field that also featured fellow group members ROSÉ with “New Trick” and LISA with “SaWaDiKa.”
The win marks JISOO’s first monthly poll victory in 11 months. In October 2025, she topped the tournament with “Eyes Closed,” her collaboration with Zayn, which celebrates its first anniversary on October 10. “CLICK” is her first solo release since that collaboration, making her return to the top even more significant.
With this latest victory, JISOO becomes the only K-pop artist to win the InMusic Song of the Month title in 2026. She also makes history as the first and only K-pop act to claim the distinction multiple times, with victories in two consecutive years.
K-pop has had a relatively selective presence in the monthly competition since the poll launched in 2021. BTS’ Jung Kook was the first K-pop artist to win, taking the June 2022 title with “Left and Right,” his collaboration with Charlie Puth, although the track was not a K-pop song. The following year, Taeyang and LISA made history when “Shoong!” became the first K-pop song to win the monthly title in April 2023.
BLACKPINK’s “The Girls” followed in August 2023, before BTS member Jimin claimed the December title with “Closer Than This.” After that, K-pop went nearly two years without another winning entry until JISOO broke the drought with “Eyes Closed” in October 2025. Now, “CLICK” has extended her record and secured her place in the poll’s history.
Beyond JISOO’s achievement, September proved to be a particularly notable month for BLACKPINK’s individual members. ROSÉ returned with “New Trick,” her first new music since her debut solo album, rosie. Driven by infectious melodies and accompanied by a music video created in collaboration with Apple, the release quickly became a fan favorite.
Meanwhile, LISA launched her Press Play era with “SaWaDiKa,” a track that generated immediate excitement. The song broke YouTube records and made a strong debut on Spotify, where it continued charting a month after release. LISA also brought the song to the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, where she won Best Pop for “Dream.”
