This New Music Friday arrives with a stacked global rollout, led by major releases from BTS, Niall Horan, and RAYE.
BTS dominate the release cycle with ARIRANG, their fifth Korean studio album and first full-group project since 2022. Dropping at midnight ET, the 14-track set marks their official return following the completion of mandatory military service by all seven members. The album leans into themes of identity, longing, and resilience, drawing inspiration from the traditional Korean folk song of the same name.
“Swim” leads the project, arriving alongside the album as its central single. Anticipation has translated into record-setting demand, with ARIRANG surpassing 5 million pre-saves on Spotify ahead of release, placing BTS alongside Taylor Swift as the only acts to reach that milestone.
The rollout extends beyond streaming. A global tour is already scheduled to begin in April 2026, while additional content—including a documentary and live-streamed comeback event—will follow in the coming days.
Elsewhere, Niall Horan begins his next chapter with “Dinner Party,” the lead single from his upcoming fourth studio album of the same name, due June 5, 2026. The track introduces a more narrative-driven approach, centered on a chance encounter that evolves into a transformative connection.
RAYE continues to build momentum toward her second studio album THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE, arriving March 27. Her new single “Click Clack Symphony,” featuring Hans Zimmer, pushes her sound into more cinematic territory.
