BTS have officially returned. The group’s long-awaited album ARIRANG dropped on March 20 at midnight ET, marking their first full-group release since 2022—and fans can stream it now.
Arriving as their fifth Korean studio album, the 14-track project signals a new chapter following the members’ military service. ARIRANG draws heavily from themes of identity, resilience, and cultural roots, inspired by the traditional Korean folk song it shares its name with. The lead single “Swim” anchors the record, released simultaneously with the album as its central focus.
Demand has been immediate and historic. Hours before release, ARIRANG surpassed 5 million pre-saves on Spotify, making BTS the first K-pop act, male act, Asian act, and group to reach that threshold.
Release day also delivered a symbolic moment for the group’s catalog. “Life Goes On” crossed 1 billion streams on Spotify on March 19, closing a full-circle chapter that began with its Billboard Hot 100 debut at No. 1 in 2020.
The rollout extends far beyond the album itself. BTS will headline BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang on March 21 at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, streamed globally via Netflix. Days later, the documentary BTS: The Return premieres on March 27, offering an inside look at the making of the project.
A global tour is already locked in. The Arirang World Tour begins April 9, 2026 in Goyang, with stops across Tokyo, London, Paris, Los Angeles, and São Paulo before wrapping on March 13, 2027 in Manila.
