This week’s New Music Friday brings major releases across pop and hip-hop, with new music from Katy Perry, Charli xcx, and Future leading a packed release schedule.

Katy Perry returns with “Watch It Burn,” her first release since 2025’s “Bandaids.” Arriving alongside an official music video, the song finds Perry embracing a more vulnerable and confrontational perspective. Speaking about the track, she revealed it was inspired by processing emotions she had long suppressed.

In ‘Watch It Burn’, I am wrestling with my darkness,” Perry explained. “Last year was pretty tough.” She added that she is finally allowing herself to experience anger instead of burying it, describing the song as an opportunity to confront pain, learn from it, and move forward.

Charli xcx also kicks off the next phase of her upcoming album Music, Fashion, Film with “Wink Wink,” released together with its official music video. The single arrives exactly one month before the album’s July 24 release.

A brief teaser showed Charli lying in a grassy field while eating a strawberry. “Wink Wink” follows previously released tracks “Rock Music” and “SS26” as anticipation continues building for the upcoming album.

Meanwhile, Future officially launches his next solo era with “Radio,” the lead single from his upcoming 10th studio album The Real Me, due July 10.

The new track premieres alongside its music video after weeks of teasing from the Atlanta rapper. The Real Me marks Future’s first solo studio album since I Never Liked You. Since then, he has focused on collaborative projects, including 2024’s chart-topping albums We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You with Metro Boomin.

Noteworthy releases also come from Gracie Abrams, Stray Kids, NBA YoungBoy, Sombr, Steve Lacy & SZA, Benson Boone, Alok & Jennifer Lopez, Carly Rae Jepsen, Muse, The Strokes, and more.
