The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has unveiled its 2026 nominations.
Announced on February 25, the list features 17 nominees — representing 18 artists due to the combined entry of Joy Division / New Order — and spans rock, pop, R&B, hip-hop, metal and beyond. The Class of 2026 will be determined by an international voting body of more than 1,200 artists, historians and industry professionals, with a fan vote currently open through the Hall’s official website. The fan ballot counts as one aggregated vote toward the final tally.
Ten artists appear on the ballot for the first time. Among them are the late Jeff Buckley, whose singular catalog continues to influence generations, and Phil Collins as a solo artist; Collins was previously inducted in 2010 as a member of Genesis. Also earning first-time nominations are Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, INXS, New Edition, P!NK, Shakira, Luther Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan.
Seven returning nominees round out the slate: The Black Crowes, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Mariah Carey, Oasis and Sade.
