Addison Rae’s journey into music has been building over the past few years. After releasing her debut EP AR in 2023 — which included the viral single “Obsessed” and a collaboration with Charli XCX — she expressed her desire to create music on her own terms. In a recent interview with ELLE magazine, the 24-year-old singer hinted that she would adopt only “Addison” as her stage name. According to the press release, it appears she will move forward with this direction following the album’s release. “‘Addison’ will be the first and last album by Addison Rae.” The album was co-written entirely by Rae alongside Luka Kloser and Elvira Anderfjärd, both of whom also produced the record. Addison cited Madonna’s 1998 album Ray of Light as a major influence on the project.
Promotion for Addison began a while ago. During a surprise appearance at Coachella 2025 during Arca’s set, Rae teased the album’s release date by revealing “June 6” written on her pink Victoria’s Secret underwear. The official album artwork and tracklist were revealed today, April 23. However, the full tracklist is still under wraps. Addison will feature twelve tracks, including the four singles Rae has already released: “Diet Pepsi,” “Aquamarine,” “High Fashion,” and “Headphones On.”
