Alex Warren is already stepping into a new era. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter has announced his sophomore album WILDCHILD, set for release on August 28, while also unveiling the first visual teaser.
The upcoming record will feature 13 songs, including the unreleased track “Passenger” and previously issued singles “Fever Dream” and “Fine Place to Die.” Alongside the announcement, Warren shared a comedic teaser video starring actor Kevin James, who plays a frustrated director attempting to manage a chaotic mock film set while Warren struggles to reveal the album. Flying confetti, collapsing props, and constant production mishaps eventually give way to the official title reveal and cover artwork, which shows the singer leaping against a bright blue sky.
Earlier this year, Warren released the first single “Fever Dream,” which emerged as a breakout success, accumulating more than 170 million global streams and over 10 million views on its official music video. The song debuted at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 and climbed as high as No. 3 on the UK Official Singles Chart, while also becoming a Top 15 hit at U.S. Top 40 radio.
Momentum continued with “Fine Place to Die,” released in May via Atlantic Records. The emotional ballad found an immediate audience after Warren spent weeks performing it across sold-out arena dates in Europe and the United Kingdom.
WILDCHILD follows the breakthrough Warren experienced in 2025. His breakout hit “Ordinary” became a global phenomenon, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for a total of 10 weeks and emerging as one of the best-selling singles of the year. “Ordinary” also fueled interest in his debut album You’ll Be Alright, Kid, which arrived almost a year ago on July 18, 2025. The LP featured major collaborations with Jelly Roll and BLACKPINK’s ROSÉ.
Touring success has mirrored his chart growth. Warren’s Finding Family On The Road Tour has expanded into a global arena run, with dates across North America, Asia, and Australia.
