Bad Bunny has officially rewritten Super Bowl history. The Puerto Rican superstar’s Super Bowl LX Halftime Show has become the most watched halftime performance on YouTube within 24 hours, surpassing 48 million views. The previous record was held by Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, whose joint performance had long stood as the platform’s most-watched Super Bowl halftime show in its opening day.

The milestone also cements Bad Bunny as the most watched solo headliner in Super Bowl halftime history on YouTube within the same time frame. That record was previously held by Rihanna, whose 2023 performance reached 30 million views in its first 24 hours.

The record-breaking performance arrived alongside a dominant showing on streaming platforms. On Super Bowl Sunday, Bad Bunny emerged as the most streamed artist on Spotify worldwide, leading both the Global and U.S. charts. On Spotify’s Global ranking, he occupied the entire top three. “DtMF” led with 9.033 million streams, followed by “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” with 6.073 million and “NUEVAYoL” with 5.439 million.

During the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, Bad Bunny delivered a career-spanning set that balanced spectacle with cultural pride. He performed major hits including “Tití Me Preguntó” and “El Apagón,” alongside material from his Grammy-winning album Debí Tirar Más Fotos.

The show featured several high-profile surprise appearances that amplified its global appeal. Lady Gaga joined Bad Bunny for a reimagined, Latin-infused version of “Die with a Smile,” while Ricky Martin, Karol G, and Pedro Pascal also made notable appearances.
