Bad Bunny has added another historic achievement to his already unmatched streaming résumé. His 2025 album Debí Tirar Más Fotos has officially surpassed 12 billion streams on Spotify, making him the first artist ever to have three albums cross the 12-billion mark on the platform.

With Debí Tirar Más Fotos now over 12 billion streams, the Puerto Rican superstar joins an exclusive club that he effectively created himself. The album follows YHLQMDLG, which has accumulated more than 12.5 billion streams, and Un Verano Sin Ti, which sits at an extraordinary 23.3 billion streams and remains the most-streamed album in Spotify history.

Released on January 5, 2025, through Rimas Entertainment, Debí Tirar Más Fotos marked Bad Bunny’s sixth solo studio album and arrived as the follow-up to 2023’s Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana. While rooted in reggaeton, the project expanded its sonic palette by incorporating traditional Puerto Rican styles including plena, bomba, jíbaro music, and salsa, creating one of the most culturally specific records of his career.

The album quickly resonated both commercially and critically. Led by the global smash “DTMF,” which reached No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Hot 100, the project debuted atop the Billboard 200, becoming Bad Bunny’s fourth consecutive chart-topper in the United States.

Its impact extended well beyond streaming numbers. Debí Tirar Más Fotos was widely praised as one of the artist’s most personal and ambitious works, blending themes of love, heartbreak, family, and Puerto Rican identity. Several tracks addressed issues including gentrification, cultural preservation, and the island’s political status.

Awards season only reinforced the project’s significance. At the 26th Latin Grammy Awards, the album earned 12 nominations and won five trophies, including Album of the Year and Best Urban Music Album. Months later, it made history at the Grammy Awards by becoming the first Spanish-language album ever to win Album of the Year. The project also collected Best Música Urbana Album and Best Global Music Performance for “Eoo,” while Bad Bunny became the first Latino artist nominated simultaneously for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.

The streaming milestone arrives while Bad Bunny continues his all-stadium Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour, which launched in November 2025 and runs through July 2026. Combined with his Puerto Rico residency No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí and his Super Bowl LX halftime performance, the album has remained a cultural force long after its initial release.
