According to Veja Rio, Beyoncé is in advanced negotiations to perform a free concert at Copacabana Beach in 2026. If confirmed, the event would mark another major milestone in Rio de Janeiro’s growing reputation as a world stage for record-breaking live music events. The report comes on the heels of two historic performances on the same iconic beach. In 2024, Madonna drew an audience of 1.6 million fans, setting a new record for the largest standalone concert by any artist at the time. That record was broken just a year later by Lady Gaga, whose 2025 Copacabana Beach concert attracted a staggering 2.1 million people, making it the largest solo concert of the 21st century and the biggest ever by a female artist.

Beyoncé’s potential show would continue this tradition of monumental beachfront performances and add her name to a list of music legends who have turned Copacabana into a global concert destination. “After the tremendous successes of Madonna in 2024 and Lady Gaga in 2025, the possibility of seeing Beyoncé on stage in Rio is raising even higher expectations,” Veja Rio wrote. “If confirmed, it will be further proof of Rio’s strength as a cultural capital and a prime destination for historic seaside concerts that draw millions of people.

No official announcement has been made by Beyoncé or her team, but anticipation is already growing among fans and city officials alike.
