Lady Gaga has officially broken the record for the largest standalone concert in history. Her free show at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro drew an estimated 2.1 million attendees, according to the City Hall of Rio. The event not only marked a personal milestone for the artist, but also set a new global standard for live music performances.
The concert, held on the iconic beach, is now the largest ever by a female artist—and the biggest of the 21st century. It surpasses the previous record set by Madonna, whose 2024 Copacabana Beach performance attracted 1.6 million people.
