Björk has praised Rosalía following the release of their new collaboration, “Berghain,” the lead single from the Spanish star’s upcoming album Lux. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Icelandic icon expressed her admiration for Rosalía’s artistic evolution and the bold direction of her new record.
“So extremely honoured to be on this song with Rosalía! It is so thrilling to watch this woman grow: congratulations to her with this incredible album. Switching genre kung-fu style, this concept is fierce! Warmthness, Björk,” she wrote.
“Berghain” features Björk and Yves Tumor and marks Rosalía’s first solo single since 2022’s Motomami. The track channels a more spiritual, orchestral, and introspective sound—signaling the beginning of a new creative era for the 33-year-old artist. The title references Berlin’s famed nightclub, a space known for its experimental energy and boundary-pushing artistry.

This new collaboration between Björk and Rosalía arrives nearly two years after their previous joint effort, “Oral.” Originally written by Björk in the late 1990s and released in November 2023, “Oral” served as a charity single protesting industrial fish farming in Iceland. Both artists donated all proceeds to AEGIS, a non-profit advocating for ocean protection and sustainable environmental practices. The song debuted at No. 42 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
Now, with “Berghain” and Lux, Rosalía steps into an entirely new sonic space—one that merges her experimental pop instincts with classical and electronic textures. Dropping on November 7, the album is structured in four movements and includes 18 tracks exploring spirituality, rebirth, desire, and divinity. Alongside Björk and Yves Tumor, collaborators include Carminho, Estrella Morente, Silvia Pérez Cruz, and Yahritza.
