The 2025 Global Citizen Festival just got even bigger. Organizers have officially announced that ROSÉ of BLACKPINK will make a special appearance at this year’s event, set to take place on September 27 at New York City’s Central Park.

It’s ROSÉ season at #GlobalCitizenFestival! Global icon ROSÉ is joining us for a special appearance this Saturday on the Great Lawn — and we want YOU to be there,” the festival shared in its statement. Fans can still secure their tickets through the Global Citizen app by taking part in advocacy actions, including signing petitions, contacting leaders, and supporting campaigns.

ROSÉ will not be the first BLACKPINK member to join the Global Citizen Festival stage. In 2024, LISA delivered a standout performance, where she made headlines with the live debut of her solo track “Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me).”

ROSÉ’s upcoming appearance comes during an already packed week for the singer. Earlier, the K-Pop idol appeared on The Howard Stern Show, where she previewed a demo version of her global hit “APT.” without Bruno Mars. On September 23, she also surprised fans with a guest spot on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

This year’s Global Citizen Festival is headlined by Cardi B, who stepped in following The Weeknd’s withdrawal due to personal reasons. It will also feature performances from Shakira, Tyla, Ayra Starr, and Mariah the Scientist, with Hugh Jackman returning as host. Cardi B’s set is especially anticipated, as it will be her first live performance since the release of her new album Am I The Drama?, projected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Since its launch in 2012, the Global Citizen Festival has stood out for blending music and activism. This year’s campaign focuses on three urgent global goals: expanding clean energy access to 1 million people in Africa, raising $200 million to protect the Amazon rainforest, and securing $30 million for education programs benefiting underserved children.

Fans attending the festival are reminded that tickets cannot be bought—they must be earned by taking action through the Global Citizen app. Over the past decade, the initiative has mobilized more than 33.5 million actions worldwide and secured commitments worth over $43 billion toward fighting poverty and advancing sustainability.
