The anticipation for Cardi B’s long-awaited sophomore album continues to grow as fans hold out hope for a release this year. It’s no secret that the New York rapper has been hard at work on her new LP. Over the past few years, she has teased the project multiple times, but it has yet to materialize. In a recent exchange with fans on X/Twitter, Cardi appeared to confirm how many tracks the album, often referred to as “C2,” will feature. When a fan asked, “How many tracks are on the album?” Cardi replied, “In the twenties…what y’all think I got y’all waiting this long for less than 15?

This isn’t the first hint Cardi has dropped about the album. In June 2024, she teased fans by sharing part of a potential title and artwork, writing, “What do you all think my album name is?” Additionally, the 32-year-old rapper released two singles, “Like What (Freestyle)” and “Enough (Miami),” marking the start of what appears to be her new era.

Despite years of teasing, fans may need to remain patient a little longer. However, 2025 could finally be the year of C2. Cardi’s debut album, Invasion of Privacy, released in 2018, made history by topping the Billboard 200 and winning the Grammy for Best Rap Album. Since then, fans have eagerly awaited her second project, hoping it will live up to the monumental success of her first.
