CORTIS has officially entered the Billboard 200 top 10 for the first time, while Chris Brown continues extending one of the longest-running chart streaks in R&B. The latest Billboard 200 update sees CORTIS debut at No. 3 with GREENGREEN, as Brown arrives at No. 7 with his newest studio album, BROWN.
GREENGREEN launches with 87,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States, marking the biggest week of CORTIS’ career so far. The achievement arrives less than a year after COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES peaked at No. 15.
The No. 3 debut also places CORTIS alongside some of the year’s biggest releases on the chart. Noah Kahan continues leading the Billboard 200 with The Great Divide, which remains at No. 1 for a third consecutive week after earning 132,000 equivalent album units. Meanwhile, Michael Jackson’s catalog resurgence continues following the success of the Michael biopic film, with Thriller holding at No. 5 with 66,000 units and Number Ones remaining at No. 6 with just over 65,000 units.
For Chris Brown, BROWN adds another major milestone to a chart résumé that now spans nearly two decades. The project debuts at No. 7 with 65,000 equivalent album units, giving the singer-songwriter his 13th top 10 album on the Billboard 200.
