Doja Cat has officially lifted the curtain on Vie, her highly anticipated fifth studio album, arriving September 26 via Kemosabe and RCA Records. After weeks of speculation, the Grammy-winning artist confirmed that the project will feature 15 tracks—marking her longest album to date. Alongside the announcement, Doja revealed the striking cover art: a portrait framed by a dramatic halo of vibrant red roses, a lush design that mirrors the album’s romantic, emotional core.

Leading the rollout is the first single, “Jealous Type,” dropping Friday, August 23. Fans got an early taste of its shimmering pop sound when Doja performed it during her headlining set at Outside Lands earlier this month. The track sees her fully reembrace pop after the darker, rap-heavy direction of Scarlet, blending glossy 80s-inspired production with modern polish. Notably, Jack Antonoff, known for his work with Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, and Lorde, is confirmed to have played a key role in shaping the album’s sonic landscape.
So far, five songs have been confirmed for the Vie tracklist: “Jealous Type,” “Take Me Dancing,” “Cards,” “Lipstain,” and “Acts of Service.” Fans first heard “Take Me Dancing” and “Cards” at an intimate private event at the Oasis club, where Doja previewed unreleased material.
Recorded between 2022 and 2025 at Marival Studios in Correns, France, Vie reflects a slower, more intentional creative process. Doja has described the sessions as “grounding,” allowing her to explore themes of love, romance, sex, and self-discovery without the rush of rapid-fire releases. Unlike the satire and abrasion of Scarlet, this record embraces a warmer, more optimistic tone. “It’s a pop-driven project,” she told V Magazine, emphasizing her desire to create music that feels authentic rather than formulaic.
