Doja Cat has set the record straight on her upcoming fifth studio album Vie. After unveiling a vinyl edition today (Aug. 20), fans assumed the floral artwork was the official album cover. But in a post on X/Twitter, the Grammy-winning artist clarified otherwise. “That’s not the album cover,” she wrote. “We haven’t even shot it yet.”

The vinyl packaging in question features Doja Cat surrounded by a lush cascade of red roses. While many believed this was the final cover image, Doja’s statement makes clear that the artwork is exclusive to the vinyl edition and does not represent the album’s official look.

The clarification comes as anticipation for Vie reaches a peak. The album arrives September 26 via Kemosabe and RCA Records and will feature 15 tracks—the most in Doja’s career so far. The lead single, “Jealous Type,” drops August 23, after debuting live during her Outside Lands 2025 headlining performance. Fans also got previews of “Cards” and “Take Me Dancing” at an exclusive event in San Francisco, sparking excitement for what promises to be a pop-focused project.

Doja has already confirmed five songs from the Vie tracklist: “Jealous Type,” “Take Me Dancing,” “Cards,” “Lipstain,” and “Acts of Service.” The album, recorded over three years in Correns, France, marks a new direction for the singer.
