Drake has made Australian chart history with an unprecedented three-album takeover on the latest ARIA Albums Chart. ICEMAN debuts at No. 1 this week, while companion projects Maid Of Honour and Habibti simultaneously enter at No. 5 and No. 6, giving the Toronto superstar one of the biggest multi-project debuts ever recorded in the country.
The achievement officially makes Drake the first artist since the ARIA charts launched in 1983 to place three newly released albums inside the top 10 during the same week. Previous multi-album milestones belonged to legacy acts including Guns N’ Roses, whose Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II debuted at No. 1 and No. 2 in 1991, and Bruce Springsteen, who landed Human Touch and Lucky Town inside the top 10 together in 1992.
For Drake, the latest chart sweep further expands a dominant Australian catalog that now includes 16 solo and collaborative top 10 albums. Across the last decade, he previously topped the ARIA Albums Chart with Views in 2016, Scorpion in 2018, Dark Lane Demo Tapes in 2020, Certified Lover Boy in 2021, and For All The Dogs in 2023.
The chart domination extends well beyond albums. New songs from ICEMAN flood this week’s ARIA Singles Chart, led by “National Treasures” at No. 4, “Janice STFU” at No. 5, “Whisper My Name” at No. 6, “Make Them Cry” at No. 9, and “Dust” at No. 10. In total, Drake places 15 songs inside Australia’s top 50 simultaneously.
Those placements push Drake’s career tally to 98 top 50 hits on the ARIA Singles Chart, including collaborations dating back to 2012’s “Take Care” with Rihanna. His Australian chart-toppers include “One Dance” featuring Wizkid and Kyla, plus the 2018 run of “God’s Plan,” “Nice For What,” and “In My Feelings.”
Commercial momentum surrounding the ICEMAN era has accelerated globally since Drake surprise-released ICEMAN, Maid Of Honour, and Habibti on May 15 following the conclusion of his ICEMAN livestream series. The three albums generated more than 196 million Spotify streams worldwide during their opening day, while ICEMAN alone debuted with 140.2 million streams globally, marking the second-largest hip-hop debut in Spotify history behind only Certified Lover Boy.
Meanwhile, Australia’s albums chart also saw a major debut from Genesis Owusu, whose third studio album Redstar Wu & The Worldwide Scourge opened at No. 3 while simultaneously topping both the Australian Albums Chart and Vinyl Albums Chart. On the singles side, Ella Langley remains at No. 1 for a second consecutive week with “Choosin’ Texas.”
