Taylor Swift has officially broken another record — this time on Spotify. Her latest single, “The Fate of Ophelia,” has become the fastest song in history to reach 100 million streams, achieving the milestone in just five days. With this feat, Swift surpasses the previous record holders, Jung Kook and Latto’s “Seven,” which reached the mark in six days, and her own 2024 hit “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone, which did so in six and a half.
The streaming surge follows the release of Swift’s twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, which has already shattered multiple global records since its debut. The song served as the album’s lead single and quickly became a cultural phenomenon upon release. “The Fate of Ophelia” earned 30.9 million streams in its first 24 hours, setting the record for the biggest single-day streaming debut for any song in Spotify history.
The track’s record-breaking success also highlights Swift’s ongoing dominance in the streaming era. She now holds multiple all-time Spotify records, including the second biggest first-day streams for an album (with The Life of a Showgirl, 259 million) and the most songs simultaneously in the global Top 10, all from the same project.
Here’s where “The Fate of Ophelia” ranks among the fastest songs to reach 100 million streams on Spotify:
