Gracie Abrams is signaling the start of a new era, teasing unreleased music and fresh visuals across social media on March 22. A series of cryptic Instagram posts—including a studio photo with Aaron Dessner and a short snippet of new material—has quickly ignited speculation that her third album may be closer than expected.
The initial post showed Abrams in the studio alongside Dessner, her longtime collaborator, paired with the caption “I wanna say.” Within minutes, she followed up with an image of a red wine glass, offering no additional context but amplifying the intrigue. Momentum intensified through an Instagram Story featuring a brief audio clip, widely believed to be a preview of new music. While no official details have been confirmed, the timing and frequency of these updates point toward a project nearing completion.
Activity around the singer’s next release has been building steadily since early 2026. Abrams has repeatedly shared studio moments in recent months, reinforcing that work on her third album, “GA3,” is well underway. Back in late 2025, she directly addressed the anticipation, writing, “I cannot wait for you to hear the new music, just know that,” followed by two additional posts emphasizing, “Just. Know.”
Recent interviews have offered further insight into her creative direction. Speaking with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Abrams pointed to “I Told You Things” and the unreleased “Death Wish” as key reference points shaping the new material.
Her last full-length release, The Secret of Us, arrived in June 2024 and marked a commercial and critical breakthrough. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and expanded her sonic palette through a blend of pop, indie, and folk influences. Produced in collaboration with Dessner, it featured standout tracks such as “Risk,” “Close to You,” and “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” alongside the widely discussed collaboration “Us” with Taylor Swift.
