BLACKPINK’s JISOO has shared new details about her highly anticipated debut studio album. In a new interview with Vanity Fair as part of their “Create a Sculpture of Herself” series, the global superstar opened up about the project’s scope and creative influences — giving fans a deeper look into her next era as a solo artist.

When asked about what fans can expect, JISOO revealed that her upcoming album will feature more than four songs, suggesting a full-length release rather than an EP. The statement instantly sparked excitement online, with fans speculating that the project could arrive in 2026 or even before the end of 2025.

During the interview, JISOO also spoke about the artists who have shaped her creative vision. She mentioned that she often turns to Taylor Swift and Britney Spears for inspiration when working on her music and visuals. “I really like them personally, so I’ll watch them and think I really want to capture this vibe and get ideas like that,” she said.

The news comes amid an incredibly busy year for JISOO. She recently returned to the stage with BLACKPINK as the group resumed their Deadline World Tour across Asia, following the release of their comeback single “Jump” earlier this year. Another BLACKPINK song and possibly a group album are also expected soon.

Meanwhile, JISOO has continued building her solo career. Her collaboration with Zayn, titled “Eyes Closed,” debuted in the top 30 on Spotify and became her first solo entry on the Billboard Hot 100.

Last February, she released her debut solo EP Amortage under her own label, Blissoo, in partnership with Warner Records. The four-track project sold over 523,000 copies in its first week, debuting at No. 1 on the Circle Album Chart and topping the U.S. World Albums Sales Chart. Its lead single, “Earthquake,” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Songs Chart and entered the Billboard Global 200.
