Lady Gaga has postponed tonight’s stop of her MAYHEM Ball Tour in Miami after being advised by her doctor and vocal coach not to perform due to vocal strain. The pop icon shared the difficult update with fans through Instagram Stories, apologizing for the sudden change and emphasizing that the decision was made to protect her voice long-term.

“Hi everyone, I am really so, so sorry but I need to postpone tonight’s show in Miami,” Gaga wrote. “During rehearsal last night and my vocal warmup tonight, my voice was extremely strained, and both my doctor and vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses.”

She explained that while her instinct was to “push through” for the audience, she ultimately could not ignore the medical advice. “There is a significant risk based on all our combined experience with a show like ours, and as you know I sing live every night. Even though this was a hard and agonizing decision, I would be more afraid of the long-term implications on my voice.”

The “Abracadabra” singer added that she has always taken care of herself to meet the demands of such a physically and vocally challenging show. “I love my fans so much, respect you, and hope you can accept my sincere, regretful apology,” she wrote, assuring that efforts are already underway to reschedule the Miami concert.

The MAYHEM Ball Tour has been one of Gaga’s most ambitious productions yet, supporting her 2025 album Mayhem. Featuring theatrical staging, cutting-edge visuals, and a setlist spanning her career, the tour has earned widespread praise since kicking off July 16 in Las Vegas.

Despite the setback for tonight’s show, fans have still been treated to new music. Coinciding with the Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 premiere, Gaga released the single “The Dead Dance,” accompanied by a Tim Burton–directed video. The track has quickly become a fan favorite, climbing to No. 1 on U.S. iTunes.
