Lady Gaga has cancelled the April 6 stop of her MAYHEM Ball Tour in Montreal due to illness, marking the first cancelled date of the global run. The show was set to take place at the Bell Centre and would have closed a three-night engagement in the city.
In a statement shared via Instagram Stories, Gaga confirmed she has been battling a respiratory infection for several days, adding that her condition has worsened despite rest. Her doctor ultimately advised against performing, with the singer writing that she could not deliver the level of quality her audience deserves. She also expressed being “absolutely heartbroken” over the cancellation, apologizing to fans who had planned to attend.
The Montreal date followed performances on April 2 and April 3 at the same venue, both of which went ahead as scheduled. Monday night’s show was intended as the final night of the three-date run before the tour’s closing stretch. The MAYHEM Ball Tour, launched in support of her seventh studio album Mayhem, is now approaching its final dates, with the next stop set for April 9 at the Grand Casino Arena in Saint Paul. The run is scheduled to conclude April 13 at Madison Square Garden.
This is not the first health-related disruption on the tour. In September 2025, Gaga postponed her Miami show after experiencing vocal strain, later rescheduling the date to March 13 following medical advice to protect her voice long-term. The current cancellation, however, stands as the only scrapped show on the itinerary so far.
The tour itself has been one of Gaga’s most commercially successful in recent years, bolstered by the strong performance of Mayhem. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 219,000 equivalent album units and produced hits including “Abracadabra” and “Disease.” It later earned Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammy Awards 2026.
Earlier on April 6, Gaga also made headlines for her newly unveiled collaboration with Doechii, “Runway,” featured in the final trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2. The track previews a club-driven sound tied to the film’s fashion-forward aesthetic, with Gaga also appearing in an acting role filmed partly in Milan during her tour schedule.
