Lady Gaga has just achieved a massive feat in Billboard chart history. On the latest Hot 100, dated September 6, “Die With a Smile” with Bruno Mars returned to the top 10, rising 11–10. The song has now spent 50 weeks in the region, joining a select group of hits that include “Blinding Lights” (57), “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” (66), and “Lose Control” (76). For Gaga, the achievement is even more impressive, as she officially becomes the first female artist in Hot 100 history to spend 50 weeks in the top 10 with a single song. The only other woman who came close was Dua Lipa, whose “Levitating” ended its run at 41 weeks in 2021.

For “Die With a Smile,” this milestone adds to an already historic run. The track became the longest-reigning daily No. 1 in Spotify history and the fastest to hit both one and two billion streams on the platform. On the Billboard Global 200, it dominated for 18 weeks at No. 1, ranking among the chart’s longest-running leaders. Beyond that, the single topped official charts in more than 30 countries and reached the top 10 in over 20 others, while earning diamond and multi-platinum certifications in 15 markets, including France.

Critically acclaimed as well as commercially dominant, “Die With a Smile” was nominated for Song of the Year at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards and went on to win Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
