The most significant night in Latin music is taking place today in Spain, marking the first time in 24 years outside the United States. The ceremony will broadcast at 8 pm ET.
Where To Watch
The 24th Annual Grammy Awards will be aired worldwide in over 80 countries. You can catch it on Univision, UniMás, and Galavisión in the U.S., and at 10:30 p.m. CET on Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE) in Spain.
Performers
A star-studded lineup features various Latin stars and icons. Current nominees Shakira, Maluma, Rosalía, Sebastian Yatra, and Milo J will all grace the stage. David Guetta and Puerto Rican star Ozuna have a special performance in store. Peso Pluma and Eslabón Armado will perform their hit single “Ella Baila Sola.” Other performances include Rauw Alejandro, Bizarrap, Camilo, and Feid.
Hosts & Presenters
Hosting the Latin GRAMMYs are Sebastián Yatra, nominated in two categories, along with Mexican singer Danna Paola, Puerto Rican actress Roselyn Sánchez, and Spanish actress Paz Vega. Presenters include Brazilian star Anitta, Pedro Capó, Mon Laferte, Grammy-winner Natalia Lafourcade, and Nicki Nicole.
Nominations
Leading the 2023 Latin Grammy nominations with 13 nods is producer and songwriter Edgar Barrera, who already boasts 18 wins out of 40 nominations in his career. Karol G and Shakira are the most nominated female artists, securing 7 nominations each. Both are up for Record of the Year, and their collaboration “TQG” is nominated in three categories — Song of the Year, Best Urban Song, Best Urban/Fusion Performance.
Special Honors
Special awards will be presented during the ceremony. Italian singer Laura Pausini will be honored as the Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year, becoming the first artist of non Iberian/Ibero-American heritage to receive the honor.
The Lifetime Achievement Award will be bestowed upon Carmen Linares, Manuel Mijares, Arturo Sandoval, Simone, Soda Stereo, and Ana Torroja.
Peruvian drummer Alex Acuña, Argentinian composer Gustavo Santaolalla, and Puerto Rican music director Wisón Torres will be honored with the Trustees Award.
New Categories
This year, the Latin Recording Academy introduced three new categories: Best Songwriter of the Year, Best Singer-Songwriter Song, and Best Portuguese-Language Urban Performance.
