Mariah Carey has officially made her long-awaited return with her sixteenth studio album, Here For It All, out today (September 26) through her own imprint Mariah in partnership with Gamma. The project marks the pop legend’s first full-length release since 2018’s Caution and delivers a collection that blends ballads, breezy anthems, and deeply personal reflections.
In interviews leading up to the release, Carey revealed that the album draws heavily from her personal journey over the last decade, including motherhood, growth, and resilience. The rollout began in June with the lead single “Type Dangerous”, Carey’s first new song in seven years, which quickly reignited excitement around her music. She followed with “Sugar Sweet,” a collaboration with Shenseea and Kehlani. On July 20, Carey fueled anticipation with a 37-second video montage of her discography, before unveiling the glamorous album artwork with a short teaser featuring a snippet of the title track.

The release date carries special meaning. Here For It All arrives exactly 30 years after Carey’s 1995 classic Daydream, which produced enduring hits like “Fantasy” and “One Sweet Day.” With this new record, Carey both honors her past and opens a new chapter.
