NBA YoungBoy has reassured fans that his long-awaited album Slime Cry is still on the way, despite missing its expected release date. After the project failed to drop on Friday, November 28, the rapper took to social media the following day to calm speculation and clarify that the delay does not signal a cancellation. “Oh you want my album I forgot. Loading….” he wrote, sharing a lighthearted update.
The update arrives as YoungBoy prepares what was initially positioned as his third full-length release of 2025, following More Leaks, MASA, and DESHAWN.
YoungBoy first introduced the project on October 16, teasing its direction and confirming its title. Buzz intensified during the MASA Tour, where he invited Birdman and Herm The Black Sheep onstage in Atlanta for a surprise performance of “F**k That N***a,” a track that later arrived officially on November 21.
For now, while the rapper has yet to confirm a new release date or the tracklist, YoungBoy has made one thing clear: the album is not canceled—just delayed.
