Nessa Barrett is sparking curiosity and anticipation among fans with her latest social media hints, suggesting a new chapter is imminent. The 23-year-old singer kicked off 2026 with a cryptic post that appears to foreshadow her next era. On Instagram, Barrett shared a two-photo carousel: the first, a black-and-white image of two black cats; the second, featuring a provocative phrase—“A man is a… woman’s worst drug”—alongside a mysterious number, 6121602, and the text “Error N3ssa B@rrett.” Fans quickly noted that the writing mirrors the design currently displayed on her official website, which is using an “error” theme, hinting at her third studio album.

This teaser builds on the momentum from the close of 2025. On December 29, Barrett posted a selfie captioned “like for new music x,” hinting at new material in the works. The combination of these posts has ignited fan speculation across social media. “WHAT DOES THIS MEAN???,” one commented on Instagram. “ITS COMINGGG,” another shared.

While it’s too early to confirm other details, 2026 appears to be a busy year for Barrett. Last year, she concluded her After Care Tour, performing the Australian leg in late 2025. The tour celebrated her sophomore album of the same title, featuring fan favorites like “Love Looks Pretty On You” and “BABYDOLL,” as well as songs from her debut album, Hell Is a Teenage Girl. Released in late 2024 via Warner Records, After Care marked Barrett’s first Billboard 200 entry, peaking at No. 98. The album was supported by standout singles such as “PASSENGER PRINCESS” and “MUSTANG BABY,” and its deluxe edition, released in early 2025, added six new tracks to the project.
