Fans are eagerly awaiting her sophomore album, with one writing, “Nessa, I’m going insane, I beg you to release the album,” while another added, “Nessa, please, give us the announcement.” Others are simply excited to hear new music from their favorite artist, commenting, “LET ME IN THAT STUDIO PLEASEEE,” and “Patiently waiting (no, I’m actually going insane).”

In 2024, Barrett has not released any new original material. Her latest single, “Girl In New York,” was released on December 8, 2023, marking the conclusion of a year in which she released three other singles: “American Jesus,” “Lie,” and “Club Heaven.” In 2022, Barrett dropped her debut album, “Young Forever.” The LP charted in numerous countries, including the US (peaking at No. 80) and the UK (reaching No. 89). The album’s lead single, “Die First,” was dedicated to her late best friend, Cooper Noriega, and sees Barrett singing about the pain of loss.
