In a Friday packed with many new album releases, Nessa Barrett’s Aftercare stands out as a must-listen. The 22-year-old singer worked on the album throughout 2023, initially planning to record a jazz-inspired project. After teasing several songs that were ultimately scrapped, Nessa released the album’s lead single, “Passenger Princess,” in July. The song captures the excitement and passion of a relationship’s early stages. Two additional singles followed: “Dirty Little Secret,” an anthem of an empowered woman asserting her worth, and the disco-inspired track “Disco.”
