The long-standing tension between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj resurfaced in a fiery exchange on X (formerly Twitter), with both rappers trading sharp words that quickly had fans buzzing.

The back-and-forth began when Nicki Minaj posted a cryptic but pointed message: “To every enabler: Never provoke a writer while they’re [writing]. You joined the game as a willing participant. Don’t try to back out now. 3.27.26 #RocBottomNation #Rocinflation #RicoNation you failed. Let the reindeer games begin. We #WinAgain.”

Cardi B wasted no time in clapping back. The Bronx rapper fired off multiple posts in response, beginning with: “You must’ve missed me, huh crazy?? Now kiss my feet.” She followed with another jab, writing, “Nothing more annoying than a bored b***.”*

From there, Cardi addressed Minaj’s comparisons directly, making it clear she believes the two are not on the same playing field: “Why you keep bringing up my album?? It’s not the gag that you think it is… You been in the game like 16 years.. you need to compare yourself to YOUR peers that started around YOUR time. Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Drake… those are the numbers you need to be competing wit and you can’t cuz you doing lower than all of them… I was in high school when you came out wtf is you comparing yourself to me for???”

Nicki escalated the exchange with another tweet targeting Cardi personally: “Raw doggin pregnant wit da 4th babeeee. Barney B. BV. HPVeeeeee. Allegedlyyyyyyyyyyyy.”

Cardi quickly fired back, referencing Minaj’s struggles with fertility rumors: “Alright now this the third tweet talkin about my pregnancy… like you wasn’t going to different fertility doctors cuz you couldn’t reproduce from all them percs scrambling your eggs. NOT ALLEGEDLY… Lord protect my babies.

This latest clash comes just days after Cardi B’s album Am I The Drama? debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 200,000 units, making her the first female rapper in history to see her first two albums open atop the chart.

Nicki Minaj, meanwhile, reminded fans of her own milestones, emphasizing that Pink Friday 2 (2023) still holds the biggest debut for a female rap album of the decade with 228,000 units. She also teased her upcoming album NM6, set for March 27, 2026, with multiple cryptic posts.

The rivalry between the two superstars has spanned years, often flaring up online and occasionally cooling down when both shift focus to music. But with Cardi’s fresh chart success and Nicki gearing up for a new era, tensions appear to be reignited in full force.
