Cardi B has never been one to hold back, and her long-awaited sophomore album Am I The Drama? proves she is still unfiltered and unapologetic. Alongside star-studded collaborations and bold production, the Bronx rapper stirred controversy by taking aim at fellow artists Nicki Minaj, JT of City Girls, and BIA with pointed bars across several tracks.

One of the most talked-about moments arrives on “DEAD,” featuring Summer Walker. Here, Cardi seemingly takes a jab at Nicki Minaj, referencing online chatter about the rapper’s finances following her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. “Guess who doing shows for damn near free and pockets hurting?” Cardi raps, a line many listeners believe is aimed directly at her longtime rival.
The shots don’t stop there. On the track “Magnet,” Cardi B appears to address JT of City Girls, and by extension her partner Lil Uzi Vert. She raps: “All that dck riding still ain’t get no feature a** b**ch / She just mad she got a n*** she be sharing bags with / My n**** cheat but I don’t stick no dldos in his a** btch.” The bars quickly lit up social media, with fans dissecting the shade and reigniting speculation about tension between the rappers.
Elsewhere, on “Pretty & Petty,” Cardi doesn’t mince words when addressing BIA by name. In one of the album’s harshest disses, she raps: “Name five Bia songs gun pointed to your head, bow b*tch you dead.” Shortly after the album dropped, Cardi explained she chose to go after BIA after feeling disrespected when the rapper allegedly brought up her children and spread rumors to Offset about her cheating.
Regardless of how listeners interpret the intent, one thing is certain: Am I The Drama? has everyone talking. With collaborations from Megan Thee Stallion, Summer Walker, Selena Gomez, Kehlani, Tyla, and even a sample of Janet Jackson, the album has already reached the top on US iTunes and US Apple Music.
