Nicki Minaj has officially confirmed what fans have been speculating for days: her sixth studio album, NM6, will arrive on March 27, 2026. The rapper quietly updated her Instagram bio to read: “3.27.26 = THE NEW INCREDIBLE ALBUM,” putting an end to the mystery surrounding the date she teased earlier this week.
The update marks the beginning of a new era for Minaj. Alongside the bio change, she also swapped her profile photo for a throwback image reminiscent of her youth, a symbolic nod to her journey and perhaps a hint at the themes of her upcoming record.

The confirmation follows her cryptic post on X (formerly Twitter) on September 23, when she shared only the date “3.27.26.” The minimal tease instantly went viral, igniting widespread speculation among Barbz. Many immediately assumed it pointed to her long-awaited sixth album. Now, their theories have been proven correct.
The buzz around NM6 reflects the anticipation that has been building since her last project, Pink Friday 2 (2023). That album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and produced hits like “Super Freaky Girl” and “Red Ruby Da Sleeze.” While a deluxe edition was initially in the works, Minaj later scrapped it, choosing instead to record a fresh body of work. “The new music is just too good to be thrown away,” she previously told fans.
In past interviews, Minaj has described her next album as her most intentional and personal to date. Speaking with Vogue Italia in 2024, she said, “I’ve got a bunch of really strong tracks, but I don’t want to rush. I want the record to mean something, both for the fans and for me.”
