Amidst the escalating feud with Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj‘s response was not long in coming. Last Friday (Jan. 26), Megan released the diss track “HISS,” in which she throws shade on several other rappers, including Drake and Nicki Minaj. The latter, whose husband was also targeted in the lyrics “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law,” responded shortly after the song’s release, going live on Instagram.

During the live, the Queen of Rap previewed a new song with the lyric “She like 6 foot, I call her big foot.” In the following hours, she also defended fellow rappers Tory Lanez and DaBaby, stating, “You let everyone be thrown under the bus. You let DaBaby be thrown under the bus, Tory, your best friend.” Furthermore, she announced that the new song, titled “Big Foot,” was arriving soon but that it wasn’t a diss track. The song has now been released, and it’s definitely a diss track!
In “Big Foot,” Nicki attacks Megan on various fronts. The title is what she calls her “Big Foot” because of her height and injured foot. In the lyrics, she criticizes her use of ghostwriters, including Pardison Fontaine. She makes a reference to the shooting incident with Tory Lanez, claiming that Megan’s foot has no scar, “Fuck you get shot with no scar?” She points out Megan’s lack of success and originality in the music industry as well as rap ability, “They got you all them Grammy’s but your flow’s still a no.”
In the line “You were lyin’ to the Queen, and you went lyin’ to the King, Gayle,” Nicki criticizes the time that Megan was interviewed by Gayle King on CBS Morning and revealed that she didn’t sleep with Tory Lanez.
Nicki also makes references to several other artists and celebrities. She hints at the scene between Kylie Jenner and Megan, “Kylie, kicked you out and made you stumble to the car.” In fact, it was rumored that Kylie had a fling with Tory Lanez and allegedly kicked Megan out of her house after the shooting. She also mentions fellow rappers G-Eazy and Moneybagg Yo, who were romantically linked to Megan in the past. With the first, Megan went viral after she was seen kissing him in a video. Moneybagg and Megan dated back in 2019, and according to rumors, he paid her for sex.
Furthermore, Nicki uses various metaphors to mock Megan. Beyond calling her Big Foot, she compares her to chocolate, which is a dark and sweet treat but also implies that she is bitter and unhealthy, and says she’s “sort of like French,” a slang term for oral sex.
Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion didn’t hit back or comment on Nicki Minaj’s diss track. She keeps on promoting her new single, “HISS,” and its accompanying music video. As the feud escalates, the song’s streams increase. On the Daily Global Spotify Chart, it reached a new peak of No. 54 with over 1.7 million streams.
