Olivia Rodrigo brought her catalog to Barcelona on May 8 for Spotify’s latest Billions Club Live event, delivering an intimate set packed with fan favorites, deep emotional cuts, and the first-ever live performance of her new single “Drop Dead.” The exclusive concert arrived during one of the biggest weeks of Rodrigo’s career, just hours after her 86-date The Unraveled Tour officially sold out across North America and Europe.

Ahead of the performance, Rodrigo posed alongside all nine of her Spotify Billions Club plaques. The celebration came as part of Spotify’s expanding partnership with FC Barcelona ahead of El Clásico on May 10, where Rodrigo’s “OR” logo will replace Spotify branding on the club’s iconic jersey.

Hosted at a private venue in central Barcelona, the invite-only show gave top Spotify listeners rare access to Rodrigo just weeks before the release of her third studio album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, arriving June 12. Fans selected through Spotify’s listening data watched Rodrigo move between SOUR, GUTS, and her upcoming era with a carefully balanced 14-song setlist.

The night opened with “bad idea right?” before quickly shifting into the chaotic energy of “ballad of a homeschooled girl.” Midway through the set, Rodrigo debuted “Drop Dead” live for the very first time, giving the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single its stage premiere less than a month after release.

The performance leaned heavily into the emotional songwriting that helped establish Rodrigo as one of streaming’s defining artists. “drivers license,” “traitor,” “favorite crime,” and “happier” all appeared during the show.

Rodrigo’s Barcelona appearance extends a rapidly expanding partnership between music and football culture. On May 10, FC Barcelona’s men’s squad will wear a special edition jersey featuring her “OR” logo during El Clásico, while Barça Femení already debuted the design earlier this week against Levante. That places Rodrigo alongside previous Spotify jersey collaborators including Drake, ROSALÍA, Coldplay, KAROL G, Travis Scott, Ed Sheeran, and The Rolling Stones.

She previously reflected on the collaboration by saying, “Seeing OR on a FC Barcelona jersey for El Clásico, I don’t even know how to process that.” Rodrigo added, “Getting to perform for the fans who’ve been listening since day one, in a city like Barcelona, is going to be so special.”
